There are five ways I found to save Facebook videos from replies. While some are straightforward, others need work. 

Here we go.

1. Use Facebook Mobile (Android/iPhone)

Facebook’s mobile web offers the easiest way to download videos from comments. All you need is your phone’s web browser and you’re good to go. 

Follow these steps:

1. Access Facebook from your phone browser. We recommend using Google Chrome because it enjoys wide device support.
   
2. Find the Facebook post with the video and expand the comments.
   
3. Double-tap the video comment to open it on full screen. Then press and hold it for about two seconds.
   
4. Select Download Video from the dialog box that pops up. Be patient for the download to complete in the background.
   
5. Open Gallery on your device to find the saved video from Facebook comments.
   

Most devices come pre-installed with Google Chrome. But you may have to install it if it’s unavailable.

2. Use Vidmate (Android)

Another way that I found easy to download video comments is through Vidmate. However, the app is only available for Android devices.

Here’s how to use it:

1. Download and install the Vidmate app from the official website.
   
2. Run the app and select the Facebook button.
   
3. Provide your Facebook credentials to access your account.
    
4. Locate the Facebook post with the video comment you desire to download.
   
5. Tap on the Red Button next to the video reply to download it. Processing may take some time to complete.
   
6. Find the downloaded Facebook comment video in your Gallery.
   

Sadly, Vidmate isn’t available for iPhone/iPad at the time of writing. Some users may also be uncomfortable installing apps away from Google Play. 

Still, my experience shows it’s stable and safe to use. You additionally get a downloader for YouTube, WhatsApp, Instagram, and TikTok videos.

If you’re on a Windows or Mac computer, then this is for you. I promise you won’t even break a sweat.  

Let’s break it down:

3. Right-click on the video’s time stamp and select Copy Link Address.
   
4. Go to any online Facebook video downloader and paste the link to download. Some good examples include SnapSave, FDown, and SSYoutube.
   
5. Select the storage location to save the Facebook comment video.
   

While this method is straightforward, it doesn’t work with non-public Facebook posts. Still, it’s ideal if you don’t want to choke your phone with apps.

You can use Chrome’s Video Downloader Professional extension to save Facebook video comments. But be aware it requires some work. 

Below is the step-by-step guide:

3. Click the Video Downloader Professional extension on Chrome’s bookmarks bar.
   
4. Scroll through the available video files to download a video comment.
   
5. Select the folder to save the file on your device.
   

Despite being effective, it may include non-video content as downloadable files. You’ll have to save several files to get the video comment.

5. Use a Screen Recorder (Android/iPhone)

Almost all current smartphones come pre-installed with a screen recorder. It provides a quick way to capture Facebook video comments without downloading them.
